Yipeee!! It's teatime, people! How about something crunchy and ultra-crispy today? Munch munch...

This thing you're gonna make is SO yummy, it's hard to beat the tantalizing aroma of the cookies as you take them out of the oven!

Now let's get started~ ;)

[Adapted from the book Home Baking published by LOVE FOOD]

Level: Intermediate

Makes 32

• 350g/ 12oz unsalted butter, softened
• 85g/ 3oz icing sugar
• ½ tsp vanilla extract
• 300g/ 10½oz plain flour
• 50g/ 1¾oz

Preheat the oven to 180∘C/ 350∘F/ Gas Mark 4. Line two large baking sheets with baking paper.

Place the butter and icing sugar in a large bowl and beat together until light and fluffy, then beat in the vanilla extract. Sift in the flour and cornflour and mix thoroughly.

Spoon the mixture into a piping fitted with a large star nozzle and pipe cookies onto the prepared baking sheets, spaced well apart.

Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown. Leave to cool on the baking sheets.

Variation: Dip the cookies into melted chocolate to half cover. ㊙️
