Baked Egg Custard

So many of my friends and families have been asking for this recipe. And here it is!

Its SO delicious i can finish em all by myself! So yeah... Practically i was having them as dessert for the past few days~ This recipe serves two but i poured them into 4 3oz ramekins so it became 4!

So... I really don't know how to describe this, the texture and the taste and stuff, but what i can say is, it's delicious!! For those who really can't take the taste of milk, not even a bit of it, maybe this is not the recipe you're looking for. But i'm not a milk lover or anything close to it or some kinda, dairy product lover or whatsoever... [*shrug] Well, I love it! =D

Now let's get started~ ;)

[Adapted and slightly modified from Baked Custard for Two]

Prep time: abt 10 mins
Cook time: abt 40 mins

Level: Easy

Serves: 2

• 1 egg
• ½ cup milk
• ½ cup whipping cream
• 3 tbs sugar (or a lil less)
• ¾ tsp vanilla extract
• a pinch of salt
• a pinch of ground nutmeg/ cinnamon powder

1. Preheat oven to 180∘C/ 350∘F.
2. In a bowl, lightly beat the egg. Stir in the milk, whipping cream, sugar, vanilla and salt until combined.
3. Pour mixture into two 6-oz custard cups, or other ramekins of your choice. Sprinkle with nutmeg or cinnamon powder. Place in a baking dish large enough to fit the cups or ramekins, add 1 inch of hot water into the pan. Bake for 40 minutes or until a knife comes out clean.

Enjoy warm or chilled~ 😉
